PULP Philosophy

“Tap into your essence, Transform your life”

My mission is to ensure that every leader and the people they serve, live a fully engaged and integrated WHOLE life.  I support  individuals, teams and organizations as they design their personal and customer experiences by helping them tap into their  purpose, their passion, and their intentions.  I refer to this as tapping into their “PULP”, their core, their essence.

PULP utilizes expeditionary and experiential methodology to provide ongoing support and celebration of the process of self-discovery, risk taking and personal and professional transformation.

This includes physical fitness, personal, team and leadership development as well as organization experience strategy. I incorporate metaphor, intuition and  wilderness experiences to incorporate challenge and to identify strengths to achieve excellence.

Kristen’s Experience

I have over 20 years of experience as a facilitator and educator in clinical, academic, corporate and wilderness environments. I serve as an executive coach, organizational consultant and facilitator for individual and team development. I provide development coaching to executives and leaders of all ages, for personal and professional transformation.

I received my initial credentials as Certified Life Coach through the Institute for Life Coach Training. I also completed the Evidence based coaching course with Fielding Graduate University and am a Professional Certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation. I have earned a Master’s Degree in Nursing Education and a Masters in Human and Organization Systems. My PhD is in Human and Organizational Development with a focus on coaching and metaphor through Fielding University.

My experience as a Professional Coach and also Outward Bound instructor has given me the honor of empowering and inspiring leaders, artists, teams and entrepreneurs to transform their lives.

My experience as an Advanced Practice Nurse, educator and administrator has offered me the opportunity to teach, mentor and coach many individuals and groups. Examples include nursing students, new and experienced nurses and new and experienced leaders as they transition in their personal and professional development. Those that I have coached report greater life and job satisfaction as well as team effectiveness as we work to eliminate the barriers that hinder success.
